In the new workshop of Changxing Silk, 416 brand-new water-jet looms are neatly arranged and running in order, without a single drop of water on the ground. The wastewater generated during the operation of the looms is collected through pre-set troughs and pipelines, and then recycled after being treated by the park's reclaimed water reuse system.
Changxing Silk launched a technological transformation project in the second half of 2017, with a total investment of over 30 million yuan. All new equipment was introduced, and all water-jet looms were connected as a whole through an Internet of Things (IoT) system.
“Through this IoT system, we can monitor the operating status of all our equipment in real time, and data such as the operating efficiency and production capacity of each machine can also be obtained from the backend,” said Lu Junteng, assistant to the chairman of Changxing Silk. With the introduction of the IoT and improved management, the efficiency of each machine has increased by more than 20%. Moreover, the entire workshop has reduced its workforce by more than 20 people.
In the past two years, the Party Committee and government of Lijiangxiang Town, Changxing County, have implemented comprehensive water environment management in the industrial concentration zone. Using a BOT cooperation model, they successfully attracted 36.5 million yuan in private capital to build two reclaimed water reuse stations with daily processing capacities of 25,000 tons and 10,000 tons respectively. A total of 7,638 water-jet looms in the town have achieved reclaimed water reuse, and all water-related enterprises have achieved full coverage of sewage interception, unified treatment, and reclaimed water reuse. At the same time, Lijiangxiang Town changed its traditional water discharge metering and charging method to inflow metering and charging, installing 43 sets of inflow electromagnetic flow meters, saving more than 3,000 tons of water per day.
Facing the renewed water environment in the park, Changxing Silk has also optimized its processes, strictly controlling the industrial oil and other substances added to the raw materials, further reducing water pollution. The water treatment revolution has permeated from the external environment of the park to the internal environment of the enterprises. “After the technological transformation, the company is full of energy from top to bottom, and it is expected that the company's total output value will reach 900 million yuan by 2018,” said Lu Junteng confidently.
In addition to Changxing Silk, Qibin Glass, another leading enterprise in Lijiangxiang, also invested more than 200 million yuan in 2017 to complete the flexible transformation of its production line and the clean production transformation, changing its fuel from heavy oil to natural gas. That year, it achieved sales revenue of 1.2 billion yuan and tax revenue exceeding 100 million yuan. “In 2018, the company will continue to promote the clean transformation of its production lines and partially switch to natural gas,” said Zhao Jun, the company's head.
The promotion of a series of water and air pollution control measures has forced enterprises to carry out self-transformation. After the technological transformation, enterprises have also tasted the sweetness, with improved management and efficiency, and increasing enthusiasm.
